As one of the standard’s principal drafting organizations, HKC Corporation Limited participated in its development and review.
Responding to the Needs of Professional Esports

As esports continues to grow rapidly, professional competitions are placing higher demands on equipment performance, user experience, and competitive fairness. The standard *Configuration and Requirements for E-Sports Equipment* covers categories including esports peripherals, terminal devices, competition systems, and esports desks and chairs. It sets out requirements relating to equipment configuration and performance, visual health, and the recording of competition data, providing a basis for the selection and evaluation of tournament equipment and promoting the professional and standardized development of esports hardware.

The standard falls under the jurisdiction of the National Technical Committee on Sporting Goods of Standardization Administration of China (SAC/TC 291). As a leading company in the display industry, HKC was deeply involved in technical discussions, clause development, and the review of content relating to display performance.

Other drafting organizations included the China National Institute of Standardization, the Sports Information Center of the General Administration of Sport of China, Shenzhen Tencent Computer Systems Co., Ltd., and the China Sporting Goods Federation.

Drawing on the practical requirements of esports competitions and more than two decades of experience in display technology, HKC contributed technical expertise and test data relating to the performance, visual comfort, and long-term user experience of esports display equipment. These contributions helped ensure that the relevant requirements were both scientifically sound and practical to implement.

The publication of the national standard provides new support for the industry’s continued development toward greater professionalism, standardization, and user well-being.
