On July 17th, the kick-off meeting for the national standard "Configuration and Requirements for Electronic Sports Equipment" was held in Hangzhou. The event was co-hosted by the China Sporting Goods Federation and the National Technical Committee for Standardization of Sporting Goods. As a leading enterprise in the display industry, HKC was invited to attend and deeply participate in the drafting of this national standard, joining hands to jointly draft a blueprint for esports standardization.
Standards as the Foundation: Comprehensively Safeguarding the Future of Esports
With the rapid popularization of electronic sports in China, the continuous expansion of event scales, and the high-speed development of the industry, formulating the national standard "Configuration and Requirements for Electronic Sports Equipment" has become an urgent need for the sector.
This standard will lay the foundation for industry development by ensuring fair competition, enhancing user experience, promoting industrial upgrading, and serving talent cultivation. Additionally, it innovatively introduces a health protection system, setting key health indicators for equipment compliance with blue light protection, visual comfort, and physiological rhythm. As the world’s first esports equipment standard covering health and safety dimensions, it fills industry gaps while leading sustainable industrial development. The formulation of this standard not only demonstrates institutionalized national support for esports but also highlights its broad social recognition.
Collaborative Development: Building Consensus to Advance Standard Implementation
During the draft discussion phase, Mr. Xiong Xuewei, Senior Manager of Monitor Products at Huike Co., Ltd., delivered a speech on behalf of the company, emphasizing: "Huike will fully leverage its corporate strength, actively participate in technical discussions and standard-setting efforts, provide professional knowledge and practical experience, and strive to promote the improvement and implementation of industry standards."
After multiple rounds of expert deliberations, consensus has been reached on some core data indicators. Next, the Standardization Administration will lead technical verification to ensure scientific rigor, while the drafting team will simultaneously advance opinion collection and pilot applications. HKC will leverage its deep display technology expertise to participate fully in standard development and implementation.
Technology as the Cornerstone: Driving Chinese Solutions to Lead Global Norms
Strong terminal sales validate technological leadership: HKC’s esports monitors ranked first in Q1 with a 19% market share, a 6-percentage-point year-on-year increase, and sales growth exceeding 120%.
Proactive layout of health protection technologies: All HKC esports products have obtained low-blue-light certification, deeply aligning with the national standard’s health system requirements.
HKC will convert its dual advantages in cutting-edge hardware performance and advanced health protection concepts into driving forces for standard development. Starting from top-tier hardware capabilities and forward-looking health protection principles, the company will fully promote the formulation and refinement of this national standard, helping Chinese esports equipment norms reach the global forefront and creating fairer, healthier, and more exceptional competitive experiences for players worldwide.
